“To anyone who speaks in a tongue do not speak to men but to God. Indeed, no one understands
him; he utters mysteries with his spirit” 1 Corinthians 14:2
When you pray in tongues, you pray directly to God from your spirit. This is your own personal
prayer language which you can use to pray and communicate with God. When you pray in
tongues, you are spiritually edified and strengthened. (See 1 Corinthians 14:4).
When you pray in tongues, you magnify and praise God from your spirit. (See Acts 10:46).
When you pray in tongues, you pray Spirit-directed prayers. The Holy Spirit directs your prayers
according to God’s perfect will. (See John 4:23-24).
He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the
saints in accordance with God’s will!
