Trusting God in the Unknown

The Faith Journey of the Flank Family

For 14 years, Reinaldo and Juline Flank have been devoted members of Kingdom Life Embassy (KLE), actively serving for 13 of those years. Their journey is a powerful testimony of what it means to trust God in challenging times and how unwavering service can lead to extraordinary blessings—like the new home that recently exceeded their expectations.

The Flanks faced intense trials, including financial difficulties that nearly cost them their house. “We felt like giving up on the ‘God thing,’” Juline reflects. “But the good Father that He is, He never left us nor forsook us.” They battled through court proceedings to keep their home, feeling as if every door was closing. Yet, amid these struggles, they chose to serve, trust God, and remain committed to the teachings at KLE.

One of the key principles that anchored the Flanks during this season was seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, believing that everything else would be added (Matthew 6:33). By prioritizing God’s work, they found that their personal challenges began to resolve. Their commitment to serving the church and participating in Kingdom projects not only strengthened their faith but also shifted their focus from their difficulties to the greater purpose of building God’s Kingdom.

Throughout this journey, Apostle Maxwell Holland and Pastor Zena Holland provided vital spiritual guidance, support, and prayer. Their teachings helped the Flanks stay rooted in the Word and focused on God’s promises. “It was Apostle’s constant encouragement to trust God, even when we didn’t understand what He was doing, that helped us push through,” Reinaldo shares.

In line with Romans 8:28—“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose”—the Flanks experienced this truth firsthand. Even when it felt overwhelming, they trusted that God was orchestrating everything for their good. Remarkably, within two weeks, they paid off their outstanding debt and retained their home, emerging from their trials with a stronger faith in God’s provision.

The turning point came when, after trusting God for a new home, they decided to put their current house on the market. In a profound encounter with the Holy Spirit, Reinaldo felt led to sow their house as a seed of faith. With obedience, they followed through, experiencing a peace that surpassed all understanding. This act of faith opened the floodgates of God’s blessings.

Soon after, they were not only blessed with new opportunities in their business, but they also found a new home that exceeded their expectations—one that was truly a gift from God. What they thought would be an ending became a season of abundance and victory, showcasing that trusting God, even in the unknown, can lead to blessings beyond our imagination.

For the Flank family, serving at KLE has been more than just an act of duty; it has been a source of strength, a way to deepen their faith, and a reminder to prioritize God’s Kingdom. As they continue to serve and trust in the Holy Spirit’s guidance, they encourage others to do the same. Their testimony stands as a powerful reminder that while trusting God may not always make sense, it is through obedience, service, and faith that His plans unfold beautifully in our lives.

“If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31). This truth, echoed in their story, reassures us that no matter the trial, we are never alone. Our faithful Father walks with us every step of the way, guiding us to a future filled with hope and blessings that far exceed our expectations.
